What does this price mean?
This is a reference value for the metal, calculated from the global gold benchmark in US dollars. It is not a buy or sell quote from an Iraqi jeweller and excludes making charges, fees and the shop’s margin.
How we calculate it
Divide the troy-ounce price by 31.1034768 to obtain the pure-gold value per gram, then multiply by karat ÷ 24. For dinars, apply the official USD reference observed at the Central Bank of Iraq. Each source has its own timestamp.
